a combination of love, travel, and loss
saying goodbye to my family dog
and feeling how impermanent life really is

a month of polarity
warm sun rays and freezing plunges
from playing on the beach in Cali
to reading by the fire in Alaska
letting it sink deep into my bones
feeling blessed to see this earth

confronted with my deepest insecurities
choosing love again and again
unfurling my tight grip
trusting that this life has got me
as I surrender to the current
again and again

This crisp and delicious apple salsa is going to BLOW your mind! 🍎

You’ve gotta get your hands on some Stemilt Cosmic Crisp® Apples and make this
sweet, spicy, and refreshing apple salsa.

It’s so simple to make and an absolutely perfect way to sneak in more fruits
into your diet this year.

Make sure to save this recipe because it’s going to be your new favorite recipe!

Cosmic Crisp® Apple Salsa:

¼ cup lime juice (from about 2 limes)
2 Cosmic Crisp Apples, cubed
1 small red onion, diced
A handful of cilantro, roughly chopped
1 jalapeño pepper minced
1 poblano pepper, seeded and minced
2 tablespoons fresh grated ginger
1 tablespoon agave
Salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

Slice Cosmic Crisp apples, jalapeño, poblano, and red onion
Chop cilantro and grate ginger
Combine all ingredients to a large bowl
Top with lime juice, agave, and salt and stir
Serve with tortilla chips or on tacos

over a decade ago I put 5 city names into a hat and told myself I would go wherever I drew…

that choice CHANGED my life.

was I ready? NO!
was I scared? YES!

but something nudged me forward.

I knew that on the other side of this “what am I doing?” fist clenching fear… something was there.

I knew, if i was going to step into a new life, I had to let go.

it meant saying bye to the stories i believed about myself, like I was limited or not good enough.

it meant taking the first step before I was “ready”

life wants you to trust your capabilities before you’ve proven them.

you’re supposed to step up to the challenge, even with doubts about how things will turn out.

it’s in those moments when you feel unprepared that you truly become who you’re meant to be.

so, make peace with not feeling completely ready or having all the answers.

the sooner you do, the quicker you can dive into living the life you’ve been daydreaming about.

and realizing you can actually make it all happen❤️

“i hope you have a back up plan”…his words still ringing in my ears.

i was so excited to share my creative business idea with my family, I had even called to share it with them.

i was feeling motivated and full of life itself until… his projections of fear came roaring towards me.

have you ever been told to “get a real job” or felt like you had to defend your dream because someone you care for doesn’t understand it?

i sure have.

but the thing is, we have a choice friends.

we can simply (although not simple to do) ignore the naysayers; knowing genuine happiness lies in rewriting the rules.

we can dare to play, and redefine what a "real job" means for ourselves…remembering we are the authors of our lives.

and we can embrace play as an adult to unlock creativity.

because our most abundant, fulfilling lives are waiting in the realm of playfulness, just on the other side of fear.
